Too Close To Call

The question of the hour is: Have we met
our goal? And the answer is not yet, but the race is not over.
The Heartland CFC is currently $5,000 –
$10,000 below the 2004 goal set in September. According to Henry
Palacios, CFC Co-Chair, “We felt like we set an obtainable goal for
the 2004 CFC Campaign, in fact it was set slightly less than what
was raised in 2003.” Although the campaign has not been extended, it
is not too late to be a part of this year’s family of givers as
pledge are still being accepted. As Anita Duncan, CFC Co-Chair,
pleas, “Our community needs and depends on the support we provide
from our generous donations. I’m sure you, like me, don’t want any
man, woman or child to be denied assistance whatever their need. So,
if you have not done so, please fill out your 2004 CFC pledge card
and turn it in by November 30.”
Historically, the CFC has received $10,000
– $20,000 additional donations in November. We still have hope that
our goal will be met. The announcement of the final dollar amount
raised will be announced at this year’s Awards Breakfast on
Wednesday, December 15.
The FEB would like to thank all of the
federal agencies and their employees for the success of this year's
Combined Federal Campaign.
Special thanks to the Loaned Executives for
