CFC Communications Committee Meeting Minutes
April 5, 2006

Proposed Campaign Theme
Among the three campaign theme finalists, the committee chose Hope Lives . . . When You Give. Patrick will share proposed theme at the next CFC Cabinet meeting, which will be held on April 19th.
Proposed Graphic Design
The committee discussed a proposed graphic design to complement the proposed theme. Ideas included: clean, graphic style, open hands with words in heart shape ascending from hands, include CFC logo, patriotic symbol, and diversity. Paige Wymore-Wynn and Carla Farris agreed to develop a graphic prototype to complement the proposed theme. Additional proposed graphic designs should be emailed to Patrick Bustos by April 18th.
2006 CFC Video
The committee viewed the 2006 CFC Vide - - "Be The Miracle". Patrick Bustos will ask Les Vahsholtz to view video and provide feedback.
Areas of Need
The following positions/roles are needed:
Graphic Design: Develop graphics to brand and market the Heartland CFC theme that will be used in the catalog, newsletters, posters, and on the Web site.
Writing: Conduct research, write stories for newsletters and speeches, scripts, proofread catalog. Newsletter has the following sections: Standard Dates, Reactive Story, What’s New in CFC; Success Story, Why CFC - - CFC Facts, and a Coming Soon section.
Communications Liaison: Establish contacts with local media
disseminate campaign information, participate in kick-off committee
Photography: Photograph and videotape CFC and local charity events, produce
local film, and coordinate volunteers for local film. Photographs and footage
will be used in newsletters and on Web site
Local Film: Write script
Special Events Planner: Plan employee appreciation outings, build team spirit, celebrate accomplishments
Web Design: Help design CFC Web site and develop an on-line pledge process
Campaign Materials: Develop pledge card, coordinator notebook, and retiree pamphlet
Action Items
Patrick will share proposed campaign theme at CFC Cabinet meeting on April 19th.
