for the forth time on June 21st.
v Local Film:
a. First part of filming for the local video took place on July 5th with the remaining filming done during and after the FEB meeting on July 18th. Committee recommendation is to use the generic parts/graphics and tape our own version.
b. Script was recreated from the national video and EPA is doing the filming
c. The scene setting will take place in the FEB classroom and the students will be the FEB. Main characters will be Sandra Champion-Jones and Rodger Matthews discussing what they/you can do to support CFC.
d.
We would like to use the cabinet as extras that day.
Graphic Design:
The Catalog Cover & Poster was shown.
The design was approved at the June Cabinet Meeting.
We would like to thank the US Army Corps of Engineers for doing the
graphics for us this year.
v

b. USDA had a mock up of Larry for show. They stated that they would be able to produce up to 12 of these.
c. Photo’s need to be at least 3 MB
d. Reminded Cabinet that we need people to be a Flat Stanley and provide testimonials.
v Newsletters:
The first
newsletter will come out next week. We
plan to do a monthly newsletter after that and want to build stories that will
educate the readers about Heartland CFC organizations and our goals for the 2007
campaign.
Ø
Website
The website will need to be approved by the LFCC in the fall. The Catalog should be ready on-line by 8/25 and the published copy will be available in September. Catalog entries have adhered to all regulations.
v Other Issues:
o
Special Events/ Federal Employee Appreciation Nights:
We currently have a special going on with the Royals and a special public
employee recognition night. We are
also working with Ticket Deals Networks to establish a ticket discount system
and we expect to complete this in the next couple of weeks
o
Online Pledging: We
are still attempting to setup a type of online pledge form.
Requested assistance with IT people to view the online pledge version.
·
Eligibility Status – Dennis O’Connell
·
We have completed our eligibility process.
In total we will have 398 local agencies in the book, and awaiting on two
appeals
·
As mandated by the Office of CFC Operations, a compliance audit
was completed on Heartland CFC. We
did find one error in pay-outs to non-profits (a mix up of Habitat for
Humanity’s) which is currently being corrected, however we found everything
else in compliance.
·
We have received the new five digit codes for the majority of our
local agencies, but are still waiting for around 50 local agencies new codes.
All of the approved National/International Organizations codes have been
assigned and we have received their information, but there are still 75 national
agencies under appeal. In total,
there are 2,100 national/international agencies in the 2007 charity list, a 10%
increase of prior years.
