Roger Matthews & Sandra Champion-Jones, 2007 CFC Co-Chairs

Thank you for a great CFC Campaign in 2007. This past year’s campaign had some challenges that had never presented themselves. With the reinventing of the Heartland CFC, we brought together federal employees in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, Topeka Metropolitan Area, Fort Riley and surrounding communities, and many new counties throughout western Kansas. In all, a campaign representing over 45,000 Federal, Postal, and Military employees, many who had never previously had a chance to participate. While there were some growing pains, the results are phenomenal.

Fortunately for the many local, national and international charities who depend on the support of the CFC, we had a  group of volunteers made up of employees from all geographic locations who were determined to exceed last year’s milestones and build a coalition for future campaigns. Through their efforts and yours, we had a campaign that exceeded all expectations. You “Gave More Than A Little and Helped A Whole Lot” to the tune of a record $3,562,354.

With the blending of campaign areas, the administrative cost for running the campaign has continued to be reduced, allowing even more of your donations to go where you designated in support of your favorite charities.  Your dollars will enable dramatic changes in someone’s life. Thank you for your continued generosity and your strident support of the Heartland CFC..
