Each year the Heartland Combined Federal Campaign will be giving away a Caribbean Cruise Getaway for two.

Each year three finalists will be picked by random drawing at the end of the campaign. Finalists will be invited to participate in the final drawing at the CFC Victory Breakfast in January.

Eligibility Rules for the Heartland Combined Federal Campaign Drawing

The Drawing: Heartland Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), is giving away a Caribbean Cruise Getaway, donated & funded by GEICO and Prairie View Travel. Three (3) finalists will be picked by random drawing at the end of the campaign, or by November 30, 2007.

Finalists will be invited to participate in the final drawing at the CFC Victory Breakfast, January, 2008. Each finalists will be randomly picked to win one of the prizes.

CFC will attempt to contact finalists by telephone or mail using the information provided on the official pledge form. If CFC is unable to reach a finalist by telephone, it will attempt to contact the finalist via first class U.S. Mail, return receipt requested. If the finalist does not respond within two (2) days after delivery of such letter, CFC will choose a substitute finalist by random drawing. CFC will continue to choose and notify finalists until it confirms participation by 3 finalists.

Eligibility: Drawing open only to federal government employees, 18 years old or older who reside or work in the 106 counties of the Heartland Combined Federal Campaign.

Your pledge to the 2007 CFC Campaign automatically enters your for the drawing.

One entry per person.

There is no fee or charge to participate in this contest. Participation is FREE. You are under no obligation to make a contribution and you may not be barred from participation if you choose not to make a contribution. However, the purpose of the contest is to generate excitement and increase participation in the CFC Campaign for the benefit of the Local, National, & International Charities listed in the CFC Catalog for Caring. Therefore, your contributions to the campaign are requested and appreciated.

If you do not wish to make a pledge, but would like to enter, one free entry per person may be obtained and entered by picking up an entry form in person at the CFC office located at 1500 E. Bannister Rd., Room 1160, Kansas City, Missouri 64131, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and personally returning it to an authorized CFC representative at said office and during said hours, no later than 4:00 p.m. on November 30, 2007. This is not available until the official CFC period starting September 1, 2007.  

Pledge Entree Forms should be turned into the Agency Campaign Coordinator or mailed to Heartland CFC, 1500 E. Bannister Rd., Room 1160, Kansas City, MO 64131. Pledge Entries must be received by CFC on or before November 30, 2007. Entries received after such date will be discarded and ineligible for the drawing.

Odds of Winning: Odds of winning depend upon total number of eligible entrees received by the deadline.

Ineligible Participants: Members of the Staff of the CFC, Campaign Cabinet and their immediate families as well as the donor of prizes and their immediate families are not eligible. Immediate family includes spouse, parents and children.

Winner Requirements: Winners are required to provide proper photo identification upon presentation of there prize. By entering the contest, participants agree that CFC may use his/her name and/or photographs for publicity purposes without additional compensation to the participants.

By entering, participants release CFC, its officers, directors, employees or agents, and any other related entity from any and all liability with respect to the prize.  The winner may be required to execute such additional documents evidencing such release and agreeing to hold CFC, its officers, directors, employees and agents harmless from any and all liability resulting from issuance or use of the prize.  

Any and all taxes and fees required by federal, state or local laws, including but not limited to, personal property taxes, licensing and registration fees, and personal income taxes on the value of the prize shall be the sole responsibility of the winner.   Miscellaneous: No cash equivalent will be provided in lieu of the prize.

Participation in this drawing may affect the tax deductibility of your gift. If you like, you may consult your tax advisor for more detailed information. This event is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law or otherwise.

All decisions and interpretations of rules and regulations will be made by CFC and its designated representatives, and its judgment is final.
